What I do

When I’m not building websites or fixing electronics, I like to get out & about with my camera and explore our marvellous world.

Photography has been a passion for more than a decade, and every time I grab the camera, I see more of this world that fascinates and inspires me.

How I do it

It all started with a disposable 35mm film camera before reaching my teenage years. Slowly over time I have evolved as a photographer, as I have with the gear that I use.

I don’t profess to have the top model camera or lenses, but I feel that limitations drive creativity, getting the most out of what you have at hand. My images are all shot in RAW, processed with Adobe Camera Raw and printed on high-quality glossy or matte photo paper, and occasionally canvas.

Where I live

Newcastle & Hunter Valley are is where I live, although some might contest that I live inside the internet 😛

This area offers a wide array of natural wonders and sights, and I have still yet to explore all of it, it would take a lifetime!

Landscape Photography

I love Landscapes! Landscape photography for me is the most enjoyable, the most rewarding, and the most inspiring type of photography out of all the different styles and genres.

I particularly love Landscape panoramas, for they capture a wider, more full view of the world around us. They are also fun to capture, and even though stitching can be arduous, the end result is well worth the effort 🙂

Nature Photography

Nature Photography is my other favourite type of photography. Animals, flowers, trees, clouds in the sky, the Sun and Moon, even down to things like dirt, grass & water can have spectacular properties that are nearly invisible to the naked eye.

The beauty is in the detail, and if you can get close enough, there are many more worlds to explore at different scales. Taking photos of these aspects of nature lets us keep a slice of that time, that little universe.
